This event was put on by graduate students who conduct their research at The Royal Mental Health Center. It was a really engaging day to learn about how research can improve patient care.
Nikita delivered a 5-min talk on her thesis work, and she won a Best Oral Award. Anjali won her second Best Poster Award this summer!

We attended the SLEEP conference in Houston, Texas for the first time. Learned A LOT about sleep, clinical implications, and huge research need.
Healthy sleep habits are needed for strong mental and physical health.

We were invited to present our research at the Brain Health Research Day.
The event was held in conjunction with the University of Ottawa Brain and Mind Research Institute and took place at the Carleton Dominion-Chalmers Centre.
Persephone gave a talk and won an Oral Award! Anjali won a Best Poster Award, and Jenny presented her first poster!

We are really grateful to receive support for our graduate and undergraduate students. We are very very excited for a productive summer, starting new projects, and learning new skills!

Congratulations to all our Honour’s students for presenting their thesis work, especially our very own Anjali (missing from photo), Cassie, Mackenzie, and Jesukhogie. Such a great event to see the research activity around the department. We are a really diverse group engaging in research ranging from cells to mouse to humans!
