Brain Freeze 2022

March 26, 2022

We are so grateful to be part of a fabulous community. This weekend we raised $4033 for Food for Thought, a local organization working to reduce food insecurity by providing meals to those in need. Food for Thought prepares hot and nutritious meals for people who are unable to cook due to their disability, age, or other circumstances.

We kicked off the virtual event on Saturday morning with a midnight walk. Gotta feed the Step-o-meter!

Thank you so much for turning up for us and for Food for Thought. See you next winter!

Bubble tea(m) celebration

January 31, 2022

In science, getting a paper accepted in a journal is one of the highlights in our careers. Today, our first paper on the distribution of Klb mRNA in the hypothalamus, hippocampus, and amygdala was accepted for publication in The Journal of Comparative Neurology! This was a true team effort. To celebrate, we went out for bubble tea (aka boba) because you see, some of the figures we produced looked like pink boba.

Cheers!
